The birth of Colgate-Palmolive in Pakistan dates back to
1977 when it was founded under the title of National Detergents Limited. In
1985, National Detergents received authorization to produce products of
Colgate-Palmolive in Pakistan.
In 1990, National Detergents adopted the name Colgate-Palmolive Pakistan when Colgate-Palmolive became one of its shareholders.
In 2019, the Competition Commission of Pakistan slapped a
penalty of Rs. 10 million on the company for running a misleading marketing
campaign.
